File of Life
What if law enforcement or EMS were called to you home and found you unconscious or too upset to think clearly? Who would tell them your medical history, medications and allergies?
In an emergency, immediate access to important health information can be crucial. EMS and Memorial Hospital sponsor the File of Life, which can be completed to contain all of your important medical information. The File of Life is stored on a special magnetic holder on your refrigerator and emergency personnel are alerted to look for this packet by a sticker placed on the main entrance of the home.
For more information, or to receive a File of Life, call McPherson EMS at 221-2250.

Whenever you need us we’re here. McPherson Emergency Medical Services and Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Room are equipped and trained to handle emergency situations when they arise.
Emergency Room
The Emergency Room at Memorial Hospital was newly renovated
in 2003 and the facility is equipped with nine exam rooms
to handle any emergency ranging from trauma and cardiac events
to broken bones and serious illness. A special entrance to
the department is located on northwest corner of the hospital
with registration staff standing by to greet you upon arrival.
The department is staffed with a physician on site at all times, along with highly trained and skilled registered nurses. Ancillary services such as lab and radiology are also standing by 24 hours a day to assist in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Those receiving scheduled outpatient services may also use the same entrance and are directed to a designated waiting area on arrival. Maintaining comprehensive, efficient and friendly service are motivating forces behind the department.
