Nursing care at McPherson Hospital is provided by professional registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and nurse assistants who take pride in providing quality patient care. These friendly, familiar faces work under a physician’s direction and make your stay as pleasant as possible. The nursing staff recognizes the importance of family involvement, which can play a major role in a loved one’s recovery, by encouraging family support.
The Medical/Surgical Unit is the general nursing unit where patients are admitted for care of general illnesses, injuries and post-surgery.
The unit has 21 patient rooms including a specifically decorated room for the youngest of patients. Skilled nursing services are provided to patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric with the goal of assisting patients to achieve their highest level of function.
Intensive Care Unit
The Intensive Care Unit is for patients who need constant monitoring and surveillance. The unit is equipped with seven private rooms located around a central nursing station where patients can be easily monitored with the use of computerized telemetry. Specially trained staff provide care in this unit.
